Is there an age requirement?
There are no age requirements for our tours, only a weight requirement. All guests must weigh between 80 and 270 pounds - depending on the package you have chosen for your adventure. Our 325' party line will accommodate a 50 pound child.
What is the weight limit?
For safety reasons, there is a weight minimum of 80 pounds and maximum of 270 pounds depending on your package. All participants will be weighed at the time of their tour in order to provide safe and fun tours. We reserve the right to refuse service to any persons not falling within our required weight range. There are no refunds for paid guests who do not meet those requirements. If you have any questions about our weight requirements for the package you would like to reserve, please call the office for clarification.
The cost of the tour does not include gratuities for our guides. Our guides work very hard to help you have a very memorable time – gratuities are not required but very much appreciated!
How long does a tour typically last?
Depending on the package you have chosen, you should expect at least 2-2.5 hours for your tour. Ultimate package takes about 3-4 hours. Guests should arrive at least 20 minutes prior to your tour departure time to check in.
Are there brakes on the zipline? How do I stop!?!
All of our ziplines use gravity-braking as well as a brake block and pulley system which you will learn how to control during orientation. Guides on each platform help you stop at the end of each run for a very smooth landing. On the West course we have one zip with a dual line (side-by-side) that has an automatic braking system. On the East course we have two zips with dual lines (side-by-side) that have automatic braking systems.
What is the refund policy?
There is no penalty for cancellations made at least 36 hours prior to your reservation for groups of under six (6) participants. Groups of six (6) or more must give at least 72 hours notice. No-shows will be charged for their tour. We book our guides and additional staff according to our tours and still have to pay them even with no-shows. If you fail to meet your appointment, we still incur all the same expenses and may have turned others away. Therefore, those guests who fail to show for a reservation or cancel without proper notice will be charged the full tour price.
What is the weather cancellation policy?
We zip in almost all kinds of weather! Except for severe winds and lightning storms, zips run rain or shine. We can reschedule your reservation date and time in the event the course must be closed on your designated day.
Are your guides certified?
Yes! All of our guides go through rigorous training, including CPR and First Aid certifications, and must pass the final exam for Universal Regulated Zipline Employee certification.
Dress prepared to be outside in the elements for the duration of the tour. Long pants or longer shorts are required for comfort with the harnesses. No short shorts. Shirts should be long enough to tuck into pants to prevent the harness from rubbing on skin; no tank tops. Guests with long hair should bring a hair tie or clip. Sunglasses or ski goggles are recommended during cold weather or rain. Guests must wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes or boots. Sandals, flip flops, slip-ons, and Crocs are not permitted.
Is there anything I am not allowed to bring with me?
Cell phones are not permitted on the tour. Please leave them at home or in your car. Pets are not allowed and no accommodations will be made on the tour or at the Silver Streak Welcome Center. Cigarettes, chewing tobacco, e-cigarettes, gum, alcohol, or drugs are not allowed on the tour or on the grounds. There is absolutely no smoking on the course; this includes e-cigarettes. We reserve the right to refuse to take any persons considered to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol on our zip tours.
CAN FAMILY MEMBERS WHO DO NOT WANT TO ZIP GO ALONG TO WATCH?
We do not have a spectator area. The participants are driven to the take-off of the first landing and left to zip the course with their guides. The vehicles do not stay with the tour. There is no way for a person to watch the zip tour from the mountain since participants are zipping way above the trees and over the canyons - 300-400' above the ground. No one is allowed on the property unattended. The mountain course is private property and anyone found on the property who isn't on a guided tour will be considered trespassing.
Do you have a photography service?
Yes, we have photographers who will accompany you on your tour. There is no obligation to purchase any photos. In the event you choose to purchase, we offer the entire tour on a disk for $40.00 which has approximately 100+ shots; or individual photos (5×7) for $10.00 each. No personal cameras on course.
In May and October, we have limited tours and, therefore, we do not always have photographers on site. You are welcome to bring your small camera that can be attached to your chest harness.
What is your payment policy?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Discover cards . Personal checks (payable to Silver Streak Zipline Tours) must be received at least ten days prior to the date of your reservation. Cash payments may be made at the Silver Streak Welcome Center. All reservations require a credit card guarantee. Sorry, only local checks will be accepted at the check-in center. No reservations will be confirmed without full payment or a guarantee of payment with a credit card on file.
